CVE-2023-21268
No exploitation reported by the sources we read.
- Published2023-08-14
- WeaknessCWE-22
Am I affected?
Debian, Ubuntu or Red Hat sometimes backport a fix without changing the upstream version number: such a version reads « to verify », never « affected ».With a domain, we read the version its public headers and pages expose. A distribution build can carry the fix under an older number.
Description
In update of MmsProvider.java, there is a possible way to change directory permissions due to a path traversal error. This could lead to local denial of service of SIM recognition with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
