CVE-2019-6129
No exploitation reported by the sources we read.
- Published2019-01-11
- WeaknessCWE-401
Am I affected?
Debian, Ubuntu or Red Hat sometimes backport a fix without changing the upstream version number: such a version reads « to verify », never « affected ».With a domain, we read the version its public headers and pages expose. A distribution build can carry the fix under an older number.
Description
png_create_info_struct in png.c in libpng 1.6.36 has a memory leak, as demonstrated by pngcp. NOTE: a third party has stated "I don't think it is libpng's job to free this buffer.
