CVE-2020-27338
No exploitation reported by the sources we read.
- Published2020-12-22
- Fixed in6.0.1.68
- WeaknessCWE-125 · CWE-20
Am I affected?
Debian, Ubuntu or Red Hat sometimes backport a fix without changing the upstream version number: such a version reads « to verify », never « affected ».With a domain, we read the version its public headers and pages expose. A distribution build can carry the fix under an older number.
Description
An issue was discovered in Treck IPv6 before 6.0.1.68. Improper Input Validation in the DHCPv6 client component allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause an Out of Bounds Read, and possibly a Denial of Service via adjacent network access.
