CVE-2017-5159
No exploitation reported by the sources we read.
- Published2017-02-13
- WeaknessCWE-99
Am I affected?
Debian, Ubuntu or Red Hat sometimes backport a fix without changing the upstream version number: such a version reads « to verify », never « affected ».With a domain, we read the version its public headers and pages expose. A distribution build can carry the fix under an older number.
Description
An issue was discovered on Phoenix Contact mGuard devices that have been updated to Version 8.4.0. When updating an mGuard device to Version 8.4.0 via the update-upload facility, the update will succeed, but it will reset the password of the admin user to its default value.
