CVE-2016-5803
No exploitation reported by the sources we read.
- Published2017-02-13
- WeaknessCWE-22
Am I affected?
Debian, Ubuntu or Red Hat sometimes backport a fix without changing the upstream version number: such a version reads « to verify », never « affected ».With a domain, we read the version its public headers and pages expose. A distribution build can carry the fix under an older number.
Description
An issue was discovered in CA Unified Infrastructure Management Version 8.47 and earlier. The Unified Infrastructure Management software uses external input to construct a pathname that should be within a restricted directory, but it does not properly neutralize sequences such as ".." that can resolve to a location that is outside of that directory.
