CVE-2015-6835
A public proof of concept exists; no exploitation attested.
- Published2016-05-16
Am I affected?
Debian, Ubuntu or Red Hat sometimes backport a fix without changing the upstream version number: such a version reads « to verify », never « affected ».With a domain, we read the version its public headers and pages expose. A distribution build can carry the fix under an older number.
Description
The session deserializer in PHP before 5.4.45, 5.5.x before 5.5.29, and 5.6.x before 5.6.13 mishandles multiple php_var_unserialize calls, which allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (use-after-free) via crafted session content.
